Biography

  • 1981- BLA in Landscape Architecture from University of Oregon.
  • 1978- BS in Natural Resource Planning from Humboldt State University, California.
  • 1980 to 1996 - Rancho La Puerta fitness resort, Tecate, Baja California, Mexico. Planning, design, on-site construction supervision of 40 acres of grounds. Architectural design of several major new buildings and remodeling of many existing ones in the course of this project.
  • 1986 - Private residence, Tepozatlan, Mexico State, Mexico.  Remodeling of 300 yr. old Ex-Hacienda outside Mexico City.
  • 1995 - Basma Hotel, Aswan, Egypt. Landscape design. 
  • 1996 - Cascade Ranch Resort, San Mateo Coast, CA. Master Planning for a hotel and camping destination resort South of Half Moon Bay.
  • 1998 - Pura Vida Spiritual Retreat, Alajuela, Costa Rica.  Landscape design,
  • 1999 to 2003 - Project manager, Nowell + Associates Landscape Architecture, San Diego, CA.  Civic (Streetscapes and Parks), Institutional (Schools), Commercial, and private residential design and project management.
  • 2003 to Present - Private practice, residential landscape design in San Diego area.
  • Extensive travel in South-East Asia, India, Indonesia, Australia, Mexico, Central, and South America, and Europe.
